Family Favourite Chocolate Cake
2 1/2 C sugar
1 1/2 C cocoa
3 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 tsp salt
3 tsp vanilla essence
3 C buttermilk or unsweetened yoghurtBeat sugar and butter. Add eggs and all other ingredients.
Bake at 150 degrees Celsius for approximately 1 hour or until cooked.
Doesn’t get more simple than that right?
It makes a BIG cake – in fact for the baby shower I recently made it for, I made two cakes, used one for the Ruffle Cake and froze the other.
