I know, it’s been FOREVER! I went from posting several times a week with tantalising recipes to make you salivate & hopefully inspire you to get into the kitchen and create, to NOTHING… vast, empty, cyber space! I’m sorry if you’ve missed me (and I hope that you have). I haven’t been spending much time in the kitchen – but I have been cooking!
I am so excited to finally announce that I am 12 weeks pregnant with baby number 3. Those of you who have been here with me a while will remember the heartbreak I experienced a few months back when I miscarried at 10 weeks. That harrowing time makes this pregnancy all the more exciting and the celebration of reaching this milestone all the more jubilant. And the wait to get here seem that much longer.
I’m (mostly) able to eat three square meals a day this past week, which is a relief. I’ve lost 3 kilos from the previous weeks when I was existing on lemonade iceblocks, the occasional bowl of soup and copious tins of peaches. Seriously, it has been rough. And the worst of it occurred whilst my husband was in Thailand for work for THREE
hundred weeks (honestly, it felt that long!).
I’m hoping to be fully back on the bandwagon soon, bringing you yumminess and more great family meal ideas. You may have noticed a couple of the posts I’ve put on Instagram lately have been of completely ‘put together meals’, which is what we have been surviving on. I’m not knocking them – they’ve been my lifesaver but I am definitely looking forward to baking again sometime soon. You KNOW there is something seriously wrong with me when I haven’t baked for approximately 8 weeks! I’m still not feeling 100% but I’ll be back as soon as I am. Thanks for your understanding and patience.
