Last night I attended a gorgeous launch party for a gorgeous new skin care range – Goodness Natural Beauty Lab.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of years, you’ll know that Chia seeds are a superfood for our body and have made their way into our hearts as a small but potent addition to smoothies, by way of chia seed puddings, sugar-free chia seed jam and in any culinary form we deem possible and/or delicious.
While other oils are well loved and well renowned for doing wonders for the skin, this little seed has only just been unleashed as the next best thing. The Goodness range of skincare uses Certified organic chia seed oil as its hero ingredient and has the perfect 3:1 ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 essential fatty acids. This essentially means that the essential fatty acids are delivered in just the right quantities for general skin goodness, making this range perfect for every day use.
The chia seed oil is extracted using the cold press method which is the preferable way of extracting – meaning there is no damage to the oil that can be caused when using heat or potentially damaging methods of extraction. You can therefore be confident that the oil is coming to your skin in its purest form.
Each product (with the exception of the chia seed oil as it has no scent) smells amazing and with the addition of delicious ingredients such as bilberry and hibiscus extracts, honeysuckle flower extract, apple extract, powdered pumice and avocado and coconut oils, you know these products are putting nothing but goodness on your face.
With five stunning products in the Goodness range, it’s a complete skin care regimen on offer, and better yet, it’s available at your supermarket. The packaging as you can see is beautiful but more importantly the products inside smell incredible, absorb quickly and leave skin feeling fed, nourished and good! Read all about each of the products here. The Goodness range is also made in New Zealand which is always a great thing in my opinion and comes from the House of Trilogy which makes me confident this product is ethically sound.
We were served cleverly crafted menu items which all included chia seeds and included goodies like a Chia Seed & White Rum cocktail, Chia seed battered fish bites, Prawn Cerviche in chia seed coconut milk, Kumara & Zucchini Chia seed fritters, and the culinary treats were rounded off perfectly with a chia seed brownie bite which was to die for!
This range is available in Farmers stores nationwide, New World and soon to be available in Pak’nSave & Countdown stores across the country. Wonderfully priced from $15.95 to $23.95 this is a complete range at an affordable price point.
If you have been intrigued by oils as part of your skincare but have been put off by the price or hesitant about the thought of using oil on your face, pop the Goodness Certified Organic Chia Seed Oil in your trolley when you next visit the grocery store.
Goodness for your skin, your pocket and the planet. The trifecta right there!
