I have had a ridiculously busy week. But in a good way. Most weeks I potter at home during the daytime hours with my baby and while he sleeps, I blog or (sometimes) choose housework first LOL (let’s be honest… very rarely!).
But this week I’ve attended some wonderfully exciting product launches and PR events and had to be out of the house looking respectable at an early hour. Boy, it’s exhausting! Hats off to you working Mama’s who have to get yourselves looking presentable as well as lunches made, kids bags packed and childrens faces washed before dropping them off to daycare or school and then heading to an office to work! Phew. I get tired just thinking about that!
Here’s a few things that have helped my week that was pass with relative speed and ease. My Favourites on Fridays for July 3:
1. This Smashbox Raven Always Sharp Eyeliner is possibly new new best friend. I am rubbish at applying eyeliner – and a liquid liner with a flick is totally out of my league – but this smooth sharp pencil is amazing and I can get a convincingly good looking line with very little effort. If you’re like me and are a bit liner challenged, I’d highly recommend giving this product a go. Comes in a range of colours too for the more daring amongst us!
2. If you haven’t tried the new Whittakers Jellytip Chocolate or seen it allllll over bus stops, FB newsfeeds, instagram feeds and everywhere else your eyes have gazed over the past week then you are either blind or living under a rock. In which case you wouldn’t be reading this either! The craze with which this product is being adored and shared is akin to the Lewis Road Creamery Chocolate Milk phenomenon we witnessed earlier in the year. I had to buy a block when I did some groceries the other day. I mean seriously… how could I not? And you know what… I liked it. I didn’t love it. Haven’t eaten the whole block. I’m more of a dark chocolate girl, but it’s yum. I wished the jelly was a little firmer. Have you tried it? Loved it?
3. Have you heard of this brand before? Human and Kind is an Irish brand that has the most adorable packaging with products inside to match – natural ingredient filled, fast acting products for the time pressed woman. That sounds like a bit of me. This Family Remedy Cream is 96.2% natural, can be used on everything from nappy rash to dry skin, stretch marks, athletes foot, sunburn and beyond. It smells yummy – almost herbally medicinal and I’m loving it for my super dry hands.
4. And finally to round out my week of favourites is this new Cape that I bought from Glassons. I got it in Camel but I can’t find a picture of it and I can’t even hook you up with a link because it’s all sold out making me even happier I picked mine up when I did. I had a 30% discount voucher in an annoying email that just kept appearing in my inbox, so you know what… I haven’t shopped at Glassons in years, but I popped into the store when I was at the mall the other day and fell in love with this. It’s 1/2 Wool so it’s keeping me toasty, and it almost matches my new kitten.
I’m thinking of heading into town tonight to the opening night of Graze and Feast. And we are all very excited because tomorrow our 5 week countdown is over and Nonna arrives back from her European adventure. Grandkids are beside themselves with glee!
Hope you have a great weekend lined up. See you back here next week.
