I have been on the hunt for the perfect smoothie maker to assist me on my morning blitz.
One blender I’ve recently tested is the George Foreman Mix and Go.
The George Foreman Mix and Go is perfect for your basic smoothie needs. The Mix and Go comes with 2 x 600ml drink bottles and 2 x drink bottle lids. This makes it the perfect choice for making a smoothie and taking it to the office, or drinking it in the car on the way there.
I like to add greens to my smoothies on occasion so personally found that the Mix and Go didn’t do a great job of blitzing them into nothingness – there was pulpiness present which is not ideal in my opinion, but for smoothies of the berries, bananas and cacao powder variety, this 300watt wonder is more than capable.
The ease of removing the bottle from the blade stand and attaching a lid means you can take it on the go without fuss and is a very attractive feature of this machine.
The mouth of the drink bottle is quite narrow so stuffing green leaves in wasn’t that easy, but like I’ve already mentioned, the Mix and Go didn’t deal well with green leaves so you can forget about stuffing them in there! It’s certainly not an investment piece, but for the price you can pick one of these up for you’re not breaking the bank and would expect to get a good few months out of it.
If you’re in the market for a basic blender at an affordable price, you can find the George Foreman at Briscoes right now for a steal. This is your chance to pick up an affordable blender in time for your Summer smoothies and milkshakes.
The George Foreman Mix and Go has a pressure activated auto start with non-slip rubber feet for stability.
Other features include:
- BPA free
- Dishwasher safe parts
- 12 month warranty
