Someone told me at the beginning of May that apparently we weren’t going to get a Winter this year. Hallelujah! I cried, knowing there was no way that was true. I would very, very happily move to somewhere without a Winter – well without a Winter that doesn’t include snow. This past week it has become apparent that Winter is very definitely here and temperatures have dropped significantly. I’m wearing my long sleeved PJ’s and slippers in the evenings. The panel heaters are on and I’m fastidious about the kids wearing singlets underneath their jammies.
For the youngest one in our family I’ve put away all the lightweight PJ options and have three sets of Merino-based pajamas on rotation.
We have long been a fan of the Merino Kids Go Go Bag, having been given one when my eldest child was born. That thing is worth it’s weight in gold. But the little man is out of bed like a running tap and he will not keep a sleeping bag on. Reluctantly we’ve had to settle for merino pj’s and footed pants where possible to ensure his toes are toasty. You can use these alone or under your Go Go Bag for extra warmth.
These Merino Kids Merino Pyjamas are made from superfine merino and have become an essential item for layering as we enter the cooler months. The cross-over neck line ensures no struggles when getting dressed or undressed, though the fit is snug around the chest to guarantee insulation and absorption of body moisture. This fabric is lightweight, soft and durable and especially important for those with sensitive skin, this material does not irritate.
I love that the legs are a little longer and can be rolled up or down depending on your preference, but the extra length keeps my little guys toes toasty.
You can find these PJ’s online here. They come in various colour ways and sizes for your big kids too! Make sure your kids have toasty toes for Winter nights.
* I was gifted these Merino Kids PJ’s for editorial consideration. All opinions, as always, are my own.
