We’ve been a while between Faves, this I know. But this week I felt it was time to bring it back out of the shadows. Besides, I have a few things I wanted to share with you.
As I type this I can hear my lawns being mowed outside, the dishes are done, dinner plans are in my head, I’ve answered emails, my youngest is sleeping, due to wake at any moment and I have exactly 20 minutes until the school bell rings…. so…. I’m on a mission.
Bringing you four faves for this week:
1. I used Revitalash last year and it made my lashes long as spiders legs. Loved them. But then the tube ran out and I didn’t wanna buy another one (because, spendy!) and so I lived in the vain hope that they would just remain like they’d grown to become thanks to the aid of this wonder serum. Alas, they fell out and now they seem shorter than they were to start with. For this reason I am not a fan of lash serums. Ugh. I’d been using Eye of Horus mascara which I loved but it seemed to be losing it’s ability to make my lashes sumptuous and luscious. I received this Smashbox X-rated Mascara tube a couple of weeks back and I have to say, it’s giving me lash love again. Buildable and easy to remove make it a winner in my books!
2. We Don’t Talk Anymore is my new favourite song. My daughter hates it. She cried the other night when I put it on the UE Boom as I cooked dinner. I have no idea why she detests it so much but it’s a tune I’m totally loving. Not usually a huge fan of either singer, something about this song has me singing it all day and wanting to play it loud whenever I can. Tahlia says “it’s too catchy” and when I hum a little or torment her by singing it, she says “great, thanks now it’s going to be stuck in my head all day!”. Oooops. sorrynotsorry! Have you heard it? Do you like it?
3. I bought this Drapey Tie Waist Coat a couple of months ago after seeing it on the glamorous Anna Reeve at an event. When I saw via her Insta feed that it was from the House of G, I rushed in to purchase my own. I had assumed it would be Miss Crabb or something out of my budget and was delighted to find it wasn’t. It fits perfectly, it’s 60% wool and for $99 I am a happy camper. It seems to dress up even jeans and flats and I truly am loving wearing it this Winter.
4. Receiving a fully-loaded box of Jamie Les Macarons perfect little morsels last week was the highlight of my week. Each flavour was delicious and I have to confess that while I shared a few with my kids, the majority of them ended up in my belly. I felt that was OK because I am the one that needs to provide feedback to you guys – right!? hehe. The standouts for me were undoubtedly the Dark Chocolate Covered Vanilla Bean Macaron with Sea Salt. OH EM GEEEEEE! I’m not exaggerating when I declare it’s incredible-ness! You NEED to try one of these. And from the current Winter range I was a huge fan of the Coconut Chai, Pear & Ginger, Sticky Date Pudding and Rhubard & Custard. But seriously, you simply can not go wrong with a box of these beautiful babies. They’re the ultimate Instagrammers prop for photos and make the perfect gift. Jaime Les Macarons ship nationwide too so there is no excuse for not trying them (or gifting them!)
I’m looking forward to a lovely weekend with my family, and attending what I’m sure is going to be the most gorgeous 6th birthday party on Sunday.
Hope you have a great one. I’ve got to do the school run now…. pressing publish just in the nick of time!
