We’re out of our house for two months longer than we anticipated, budgeted or planned for. There are so many things about that revelation that kill me (not literally of course) but one of them is that I had packed up all the kids Summer clothes and only bought a small set of trans-seasonal items with us because we moved out of home at the beginning of October, when it was still cool-ish and were due to be back in right now, when the weather is starting to warm up. I have a couple of pair of shorts and a few tees with us, but not a full complement of Summer attire.
Just go get it you say. Weeeeellll, we have our stuff stored in three different locations – in Shane’s gran’s garage in Westmere, a friends’ garage in Mangere Bridge and the one room in our house that isn’t being touched by the renovation. Because I had no way of knowing that we would be going so far over schedule, and because we moved out sooner than we had originally been advised we would need to, I didn’t have time or the inclination to really plan where things were going when transporting various boxes out to their temporary storage spots. So while it may sound like a great idea to just go find everything, I actually have no idea where the kids clothing is.
It’s a long winded intro I agree, but just to let you know that we are in dire need of extra Summer ware for our kids and when The Warehouse asked me if I would like to take a giftcard and find my favourite pieces from their Summer collection, I didn’t hesitate to say yes.
I found so many cute pieces for Miss T to wear at the beach, to the park, just regular every day wear that looks cute, helps her stay my little 7 year old for a bit longer, but still satisfies her desire to be a bit hip and a little bit grown.
Here are our favourites:
Don’t forget to head in store to The Warehouse or use their Click and Collect service to grab a few key pieces for your little ones this Summer. The value makes it an unbeatable option.
* thanks to The Warehouse for supplying us a gift card to use in-store
